New School Year, Great Library Resources
The CCJPL wants to welcome students as they enter the new school year. We are proud of you and wish you all the best as you navigate new this academic year! We want to remind you of the ways that the library is here to support you every step of the way. No matter what type of student you are, the library is more than just a place to check out books. Of course, we hope to be your primary TBR provider, as always! It's a hub of helpful resources designed to help you succeed in your academic journey. Let me provide a quick rundown of the top resources and services available to you.
Quiet Study Spaces
We know it can be hard sometimes to find a place that is quiet and inspiring to get all of your classwork and studying done. We also know sometimes you may need a break from campus or your room. The more options you have for study spaces, the more likely you will make it happen. We have many study spaces and rooms available for you. If you are looking for a new environment to spend your time, let CCJPL be a place for you. Grab your coffee and enjoy our free and fast wifi! If you would like to book study rooms, please call us and we will get those booked for you.
Technology and Equipment
If you need to print, scan, or use a computer, we’ve got you! We have computers for adult patrons as well as computers available in our TeenHub area, for high school students. We also have our beloved Multimedia Room where you can record a podcast, presentation, edit photos, power-points, etc. If you need a classroom to bring your study buddies, project partners, or clubs we also have a classroom called the Technical Lab with a TV, white board, and enough room for 8 people comfortably, 10 if you squeeze. We have a lovely Genealogy department and book selections that are easy to navigate. We hope that you let these resources help you as you complete assignments and academic tasks throughout the year.
Community Events, Workshops, & Networking Opportunities
We know how important it is to lean on your support system, find both professional and personal opportunities, and take advantage of events that help you get your mind off school, when appropriate. Throughout the academic year, we host events, workshops and networking opportunities that are FREE to you! Be sure and visit our event calendar every month to stay up to date on these opportunities. Whether you need a fun art workshop, academic presentation, or local business meeting, CCJPL is here for you!
