Genealogy & Obituaries
The Public Library has an extensive collection of genealogy materials to assist with family history research.
Local Newspapers and Microfilm Records:
The library offers a collection of Jonesboro newspapers on microfilm dating back to the 1890’s. Other microfilm archives include census, marriage, court, and tax records.
Getting Started:
Note: Library staff members are not genealogists. They can help you locate the published materials but they cannot do the research for you. If you need further assistance the library staff can refer you to a local genealogist who can assist you for a fee.
