Summer Kick-Off Party

Hot dogs, ice cream, sunny skies are all things that we think about when we think about summer – and it just so happens those are things you will find at the Summer Kick-Off party at the Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library on June 1st from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. This is the second annual event for the library to showcase summer programming. The event is sponsored by First Community Bank who will be on site grilling hot dogs and The Stadium Auto Body Polar Roller with East Arkansas Broadcasters filled with ice cream!  The event is for all ages and is free to attend!

Throughout the day there will be face painting, rock painting, and an astronaut obstacle training course outside as well as crafts and Lego’s inside the library.  The Children’s Library will also host a puppet show at 1:00 p.m. Kids and their families can go inside the Children’s Library to register for Summer Reading Club and learn more about Beanstack which is the online resource to track points for summer!

Teens will get some color in their hair with hair chalk and henna tattoos!  The NEA Gamer’s Guild in the Round Room playing board games throughout the day for all ages. You can also sign up for the Adult Summer Reading Club and get a shiny silver tote bag filled with free items.
