A spring arts and crafts fair will be held at the Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library, located at 315 West Oak Avenue, on Saturday, April 1st from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.  The Hogwarts Fair of Arts, Crafts and Wizardry, is Harry Potter themed.  Each year, the public library hosts a spring and fall arts and crafts fair featuring local vendors selling handmade items.  Items available range from jewelry and paintings to face painting and toys!  The event is free to the public.  Vendors will have set prices for their merchandise.

In addition to the arts and craft vendors, there will also be two live animal shows!  Bob Tarter of the Natural History Educational Company of the Midsouth will be doing “Care of Magical Creatures” shows at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on the library lawn.   Kids and their parents will get the opportunity to see and learn about animals.  NHECM is the same company that has brought animals to the CCJPL including a bobcat, kangaroo, snakes, lizards, prairie dogs and more!  This will be a really fun show for all ages!

There will be “magic” classes available where kids (and adults) can take a class!  Kids will get to see different experiments.  There will be games on the lawn including giant chess thanks to the ASU Scarlet Chess Club and live music from the Midnight Fox Band at 12:30 p.m.  Library staff members as well as some of the vendors will be dressed up in costumes for the event!

There is a rain date in place of April 8th in case there is rainy weather.
