The Poinsett County Library will have craft days every Wednesday in December. There is no specific time for this drop-in opportunity. The library is open every Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

After Christmas, while the kids are still out of school, the library will have a day of post holiday activities! 

This class is open for experienced and beginning knitters and those who would like to crochet. This class meets in the library in the non-fiction section. If you're a beginner, don't worry about bringing anything, we'll supply you with needles and yarn.

Meet the Mouse teaches new computer users how to properly use a mouse.  Join us for this free class on Wednesday, January 2nd at 10 a.m. in the Training Lab.

The library offers free Zumba Fitness Classes every Monday and Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. in the Round Room.  This hour long class is for adults only.  Zumba is a latin inspired dance exercise class. Instructor Brooke Poff leads the class in routines that are easy to learn.

A free computer class on internet searching is being offered on Tuesday, December 8th at 10 a.m. in the training lab of the Craighead County Jonesboro  Public Library.  This class introduces new internet users to a variety of useful websites.

Email for beginners is a free computer class offered at the library on Wednesday, January 9th and Tuesday, January 22nd.  The class on January 9th will take place at 2 p.m. in the training lab.  The class on January 22nd will be held at 10 a.m. in the training lab.  This class teaches users the basics of email and sets them up with a free gmail account.

This free computer class teaches users the basic functions of Microsoft's word processor.  This class will be offered on Thursday, January 10th and Wednesday, January 23rd.

The Graphic Content graphic novel club will meet on Friday, January 11th at 6 p.m. to watch a movie.  Although we can't tell you the name of the movie here we can tell you something about it!  This superhero movie, released in 2009, is based on a comic book series writeen by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons.  The movie is rated R.

A lot of us have things sitting around our homes that we will never use! If you do, you can try to sell them on ebay.  We'll teach you the basics of buying and selling on ebay at this free class on Wednesday, January 16th at 10 a.m.

It's craft time in the Children's Library! Kids can pick up a set of needles and a ball of yarn starting on September 5th and learn how to knit! Ms. Vivi Chase will start off teaching some of the basics of knitting to those who have never knitted and will work with the kids to complete projects. The classes are held every Wednesday from 3:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. in the Children's Library.

The Novel Lover's Book Discussion group will read "The Night Circus" by Erin Morgenstern.  This book is a fantasy novel by author Erin Morgenstern.  It is set in a circus that is only open from sunset to sunrise.  The meeting will take place on Tuesday, January 22nd at 10 a.m. in the round room of the library.  At that meeting you can pick up your shared copy of "The Shoemaker's Wife" by Adriana Trigiani.

The Inquiring Minds book discussion group will be reading the Suzanne Collins novel "The Hunger Games" in January.  The group will meet to discuss this book on Tuesday, January 22nd at 6:00 p.m. in the Civic League Room.  This group will read the book "Lincoln" by Gore Vidal.
