Kids can pick up a set of needles and a ball of yarn starting on September 5th and learn how to knit! Ms. Vivi Chase will start off teaching some of the basics of knitting to those who have never knitted and will work with the kids to complete projects. The classes are held every Wednesday from 3:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. in the Children's Library. Teens are invited to dress up like zombies to walk around the block of the library from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. We are using this event to help the food pantry. All you have to do is bring in a jar of peanut butter or jelly and for each jar you bring your name is added to a drawing that will take place on December 12th. The winner of the drawing will win a $20 gift certificate to the Farmer's Market in Monette. The donated peanut butter and jelly will go to "BIBLE" the Buffalo Island Better Life Experience.
