It's time for Fall Storytime! PeeWee Storytime is designed for 2-year-old and 3-year-olds and their parents or caregivers.

Once you've learned the basics of how to use a computer, many will need to know how to use the Microsoft Word. In this class you will learn the basic functions of Microsoft's word processor.

Welcome to Fall Storytime! Pre-K Storytime is for children who are 4 and 5-years-old. Kids get to hear a story and then do a craft at the end. Parents and caregivers are not required to stay, but are always welcome.

The Anime/Manga club will meet on Tuesday, September 25th in the Round Room from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.

Our 2nd Annual Fall Concert Series continues with a blues performance from the Jess Hoggard Band on September 25th.  This is also the date of our "Concert for Hope".  The CCJPL is partnering with Hope Circle during Hope Week to support the fight against cancer. 

The library is hosting a guest speaker on Tuesday, September 25th following the fall concert on the lawn.  The event will start at 7:15 p.m. in the Round Room.  Refreshments will be provided.  More information about this event will be released soon.

 This class teaches users the basics of email. During the class each participant will be set up with a free "gmail" account.

Craigslist is a popular website to buy and sell everything from clothing and electronics to houses and boats.  In this class we will give you an overview of how to buy and sell using Craiglist's online classifieds.

To help celebrate Hope Week, the library will offer a special knitting class in the Round Room on Thursday, September 27th at noon.  In addition to learning to knit with needles, folks will get the opportunity to learn how to knit on the loom.

This class is  open for experienced and beginning knitters and those who would like to crochet. This class meets in the library in the non-fiction section. If you're a beginner, don't worry about bringing anything, we'll supply you with needles and yarn.

Join us in the morning for events for the kids and in the afternoon for events for teens and adults.  From 10 a.m. until noon we'll have Star Wars craft stations, trivia, refreshments including wookie cookies and yoda soda and entertainment.  Drawing for Star Wars prizes will happen at noon.  A Star Wars program for teens and adults will start at 1 p.m. and will include a costume contest, trivia, games and a movie!  We're watching "A New Hope", also known as "Star Wars Episode IV", starting at 2:30 p.m.

The Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library will partner with the ASU Small Business and  Technology Development Center for a Lunch and Learn class on Wednesday, October 17th.  This class will focus on the popular pin-board style social media site Pinterest.  We will show you how to get a pinterest account, how to use the site, and how to make a craft found on the site.
