Many parts of Northeast Arkansas are dotted with state parks.  Park Interpreter Elizabeth Duryea from Parkin Archeological State Park will lead this program.  Lunch and Learn is a FREE program held every wednesday at noon. Attendees are encouraged to bring their lunch in and learn about a different topic.

We're cooking up dinner in the Teen Zone.  On Saturday, May 19th teens are invited to come out and learn how to cook homemade mac n'cheese from scratch (Ms. Nina says "no more boxed stuff").

Summer is just around the corner and for many in this area, that means hitting the water. Join us at noon on Wednesday, May 23rd for a free class on boating and fishing safety taught by an officer with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission.  Lunch and Learn is a free class offered every Wednesday in the Round Room of the library.  Patrons are encouraged to bring their lunch in and eat while they learn.

During the summer months, when the kids are out of school, many people spend more time outside than they normally do.  This can lead to sun burns, bug bites and bee stings.  On Wednesday, May 30th Dr. Shane Speights from AHEC will be our featured guest to tell us what you can do to prevent and treat these common summer problems.

To help kick off summer, the Kohn Memorial Public Library will host special events for people of all ages the last Thursday in May and the first four days in June.  Come to the library on any of these days at 9 a.m. for summer fun - and get registered for summer!
