The semi-annual Friends of the Library book sale will be held on Saturday, April 28th from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. in the Round Room of the library.  The sale will continue on Sunday, April 29th from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. 

This sale features gently used and practically new paper and hard back books.  Books in the collection are donated books from the public and discarded books from the library.

This latin-inspired dance fitness program that can help you get into better shape. The class is held in the Round Room at the CCJPL and is taught by certified Zumba instructor Brooke Poff.

This class starts at 6 p.m. every Monday and meets in the library in the non-fiction section. This is for experienced knitters and for beginners. You are asked to bring your own yarn and needles. If you have never been, you can come and watch and learn what you need to bring the next time.

With gas prices on the rise this summer, and no vacation in sight we have another option for you!  Plan a "staycation" in Jonesboro.  Jonesboro Parks and Recreation interim director Wixson Huffstetler will lead our program on Wednesday, May 2nd.  Lunch and Learn is a FREE program held every wednesday at noon. Attendees are encouraged to bring their lunch in and learn about a different topic.

Many parts of Northeast Arkansas are dotted with state parks.  Park Interpreter Elizabeth Duryea from Parkin Archeological State Park will lead this program.  Lunch and Learn is a FREE program held every wednesday at noon. Attendees are encouraged to bring their lunch in and learn about a different topic.

On Friday, May 11th the Teen Zone will host a game day in the Round Room starting at 4:00 p.m.  There will be both board games and video games available for play.

The Graphic Content Book Discussion Group will be discussing the book "Kingdom Come" and handing out copies of "Persepolis" on Monday, May 14th.

We're cooking up dinner in the Teen Zone.  On Saturday, May 19th teens are invited to come out and learn how to cook homemade mac n'cheese from scratch (Ms. Nina says "no more boxed stuff").

Summer is just around the corner and for many in this area, that means hitting the water. Join us at noon on Wednesday, May 23rd for a free class on boating and fishing safety taught by an officer with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission.  Lunch and Learn is a free class offered every Wednesday in the Round Room of the library.  Patrons are encouraged to bring their lunch in and eat while they learn.
