You may be familiar with our Zumba Fitness class offered twice a week at the library.  This class is very popular with library patrons.  However, there may be many who have no idea what is involved in the class.  This Lunch and Learn will be a great opportunity to learn more about the class and get some information on how this is a fun way to get a good workout.

During our Spring Break staycation we're going to have a family board game day!  Join us in the Children's Library from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 21st.  Registration is not required, but is encouraged to let the staff know how many plan to attend.

Ok, you've made your own angry bird! Now it's the opportunity to play a real life game of angry birds and beat those pigs!  Join us on this Wednesday afternoon from 3:00 p.m. until 4:30 p.m.

Fun with books, fingerplays, songs and action followed by free-play and networking. For newborn babies through 24-month-old babies and their parents or caregivers.

To wrap up our week of the Spring Break "Staycation" at the Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library, teens and tweens are invited to come and make a piece of jewelry during this afternoon event!

We'll be showing an after hours movie in the Round Room on March 23rd.  A movie hasn't been selected so far, but is sure to be a fun experience for all!

This book discussion group reads books that have recently been made into major motion pictures.  For the April 3rd meeting the group will discuss the popular book "The Hunger Games" that recently hit theatres!  Pick up your shared copy of the book today!

If it's not evident enough from the warm temperatures, budding trees and pollen in the air: spring is here!  During this time of year, many are planting their flower beds and getting their gardens ready.  Last month we talked about container gardening wtih Eric Grant from the University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Office.  This Lunch and Learn will focus on composting!

The Graphic Novel Discussion Club at the Craighead County Jonesboro Public LIbrary will be discussing "Scott Pilgrim" during their meeting on Monday, April 9th.  They will also be handing out copies of "Kingdom Come" for the May discussion group.  Join us at 6:00 in the Civic League Room to join the discussion!

To help celebrate Earth Day coming up on April 22nd, the Teen Zone will host a teen craft day on Tuesday, April 10th.  Teens will get the chance to make their own "recycled jewelry" craft.

Join Margo Reiser for this Lunch and Learn class and find out how she takes regular household "trash", like egg cartons and papertowl rolls, and turns them into treasure for kids!  This will be a fun filled, hands on experience.  Bring your lunch and join us for this free class at noon on Wednesday, April 11th.

It's National Poetry Month!  To celebrate, we're holding a teen poetry slam on Friday April 20th at 6 p.m. in the Round Room of the library.
