This class starts at 6 p.m. every Monday and meets in the library in the non-fiction section.  This is for experienced knitters and for beginners.  You are asked to bring your own yarn and needles.  If you have never been, you can come and watch and learn what you need to bring the next time.

In honor of Black History Month, Dr. Cherisse Jones-Branch will lead two programs on Monday, February 20th.  The day starts with our Lunch and Learn session at Noon in the Round Room where Dr. Branch will focus on "Little Known Facts About African American Leaders".  Monday evening at 7:00, Branch will lead a special program entitled "Civil Rights Activism in the 1940's".

We've had an increase in the number of people requesting help with their resume so we will be offering a series of "resume workshops" in the month of November.  If they are successful, we will continue this into the new year!  The two hour session will be a drop-in for those who would like help.  We can review your resume for content, organization, formatting and consistency.  For more information call the information desk at 870-935-5133 extension 1121.

Author Tom Birdseye will be our featured guest on Tuesday, February 21st at 7 p.m. in the Round Room at the Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library.  Birdseye's books include "Storm Mountain", "Look Out Jack! The Giant is Back", "Soap! Soap! Don't Forget the Soap" and "Waiting For Baby".  The public is invited to attend this evening event.  Books will be available to purchase.  Teachers who attend the event will get one hour of continuing education credit.

If you are the new recipient of an e-Reader, but are unsure how to use it we can help! Ben Bizzle, the Director of Technology at the Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library will lead the class on e-Readers and answer any questions you may have.  Join us for this free class on Wednesday, February 22nd.

This club is geared towards children who are in second through sixth grade.  Parents and older kids are welcome to join in as well.  If you don't know how to knit, no problem!  We'll teach you!  In this class each new child will recieve a pair of knitting needles and a skein of yarn to start them off.

This storytime is for newborn children up to 24-month-olds.  During this storytime families and their children have fun with books, fingerplays, songs and action followed by free-play and networking.

This class demonstrates the basics of email.  You will learn how to use email, including google mail.  You will also learn "netiquette".
