If your New Year's resolution is to eat healthier foods, this class will be perfect for you!  Debbie Derossitte from the Craighead County Cooperative Extension Service will lead a class on "My Healthy Plate", which is the new way of looking at the food pyramid.  Instead of eating things in the pyramid, the new method encourages you to divide your plate into sections filled with fruits, vegetables, grain and protein with a side of dairy.  Join us for this free class on Monday, January 23rd to learn more!

Staying healthy is more about eating right, it also involves exercise.  To help us out this month, a representative from the new St. Bernards Health and Wellness Institute will be on hand Wednesday, January 25th to give us some ideas of things we can do to improve our full body health.

Manga Languages is one of several databases available FREE of charge for library patrons.  You can log onto our website www.libraryinjonesboro.org and click on "research" and scroll down to "databases" to find the link to Mango Languages.  This program can help walk you through learning a new language.  Nathan Whitmire, Manager of Information Services, will lead this Lunch and Learn class.

Many library patrons have jobs where they sit at their desks all day long hunched over a computer.  In In keeping with the traditional New Year's resolution of living healthier, the library is offering several classes to help you out.  During this Lunch and Learn, Holland Taylor with Nirvana Yoga Studio will show us some simple yoga tricks we can do at our desks and during a 15 minute break from work.  As always, this class is FREE!
